I have known Keith Mayer for six years. I first met him in my days at the University of Akron where I played one season with his son David. It quickly became obvious to me Keith’s understanding and passion for the game of football. A comprehensive grasp of the sport and its tactical aspects made speaking with Keith a great pleasure for me. He was very specific with observations of my individual game and the team concept as a whole. In a sport where many coaches see only the physical and apparent, Keith is able to see the subtle and minute details that separate good players from great players, and ultimately what separates good coaches from great ones. His resume reveals a long history of working with some of the top cubs in the world and his presence should be highly regarded. I urge you to ask questions, to learn, and to discover what has gotten Keith to this point of his career and the lessons he’s learned along the journey. Thanks.
