NSCAA TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL PLAYER RESUME BUILDER PROGRAM
Anson Dorrance, World Cup, Olympic Gold Medal and UNC Head Coach, in his book "Vision Of A Champion" leads: He wishes to pass on as much information as possible to his players, so by the end of their time at North Carolina they leave cognitively qualified to coach the sport (paraphrased). This has been proven by his legacy at UNC, The WUSA and USA National Team levels.
1. In my position as the State Technical Director for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA www.NSCAA.com), a focal area of my responsibility is player and coach education.
2. It has come to my attention our Junior and Seniors in High School are missing out on a great educational opportunity within their chosen sport of soccer. As coaches we are continually re enforcing the education and the development of our player’s on the field, an area we must also focus on is their resumes, in preparation for their college applications.
3. The NSCAA, the largest soccer coaching organization in the world, would like to offer your soccer program the opportunity of hosting a Level 1, even developing to a level 2 diploma, for you players. This would not only be an asset to their qualification portfolio, but also their cognitive development and understanding within the game. The course is two and a half hours duration and could be held on a weekend, as a PE class or after school.
4. By having this qualification, at such an early age can help assists in:
· Moral character development
· Leadership
· Character development
· Planning and communication skills
· Ability to assist in the community volunteer and soccer development programs
· Self confidence.
· Player credibility

Youth Level I Diploma The Youth Level I Diploma is a 2 ½-hour course for coaches of players 5-8 years of age. The course deals with coaching young players who are playing the game for the first time. The course content includes philosophy of coaching youth, risk management strategies, organization of practice sessions and activities appropriate to players of this age. There is no testing in the Youth Level I Diploma. All candidates must be at least 14 years of age at the time of application. Candidates under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the course.
