Dear Neil,
I just wanted to tell you how much Micah has enjoyed your camp this week and how much I believe it has already helped her. Micah has always been very coordinated, but she is not a forceful child, and so once she was elevated to higher age groups and levels her skill set stayed up with her competition, but her courage and confidence did not, and she began to retreat from an offensive mindset to a purely defensive, totally "pass" minded person. She makes for a good teammate(at least from the standpoint that others like playing with her) because she always gets everyone else the ball from her midfield position, but she never takes on players when she has the ball and never looks to score,,, and I think she could.
Your camp has helped her to think more about beating the person in front of her, which is fantastic. The long drive down from Austin each morning has been a bit much, but it has been worth it. I just wish you and your staff and the Coerver approach were offered here in Austin. There is no telling how quickly Micah could improve and where she could go with sustained training like this.
Honestly, this is so much better than her last 3 years of DI select.
Thanks,
Sincerely,
Rev. John C. Stennfeld
p.s. Is there anyway to get Coerver started in Austin? There are a lot of players here.
